That’s why we breed only from West German bloodlines that have been health, temperament and performance tested by German judges from the Association of German Shepherds (SV) and United Schutzund Club of America (USCA). Gary received the rating of VA1 during the 2017 Bundessieger-Zuchtschau (BZ). The BZ is an annual international championship of the German Shepherd Dog held in Nurenburg Germany, where thousands of the best German Shepherd Dogs from all around the world compete for the coveted VA rating in temperament, conformation, obedience and protection. Of the thousands of dogs that compete, only ten are rated VA. VA1 is the World Champion. In Pepper’s three generation pedigree, there are thirteen “VA” rated dogs and 14 “V” rated dogs (“V” is the second level of BZ ratings). Pepper’s titles include Obedience (BH), Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and she is making excellent progress toward IGP1. To receive a VA or V rating at the BZ, a dog must have achieved IGP3, which requires a qualifiying score in conformation, temperament and performance (tracking, obedience and protection).
